Employee and Supervisor Training to ensure a Drug-Free Workplace. Both ALERT training programs comply with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations governing Commercial Drivers and other "Safety-sensitive" employees.

Reasonable Suspicion Training
This class qualifies supervisors/managers to make reasonable suspicion determinations of possible drug/alcohol misuse of their employees. This course is in compliance with the DOT rules mandating a minimum of two-(2) hours education in drug/alcohol signs and symptoms and procedures to follow if an employee is suspected of drug/alcohol use. Attendees will receive a "Certificate of Completion" to verify their instruction. Both group and on-site training are available. This class can be tailored to your company requirements and can incorporate your own Drug Policy and Procedures for a more comprehensive program specifically for your company supervisors. BIO-MED has instructed over 30,000 supervisors to date and is considered the area's expert trainer.

Breath Alcohol Technician
This eight (8)-hour class prepares the student for performing Evidential Breath Tests for workplace alcohol testing. This training is mandated by the U.S. DOT for the testing of any safety-sensitive employees such as truck drivers, pilots, mass transit operators and others. The class has two-(2) segments, Didactic and Proficiency. The manufacturer of the specific breath-testing device must train all operators using their particular device. The testing devices we certify on are LifeLoc products such as the Phoenix and the PBA 3000.

Breath Alcohol Technician Instructor
This eight (8)-hour class prepares instructors to teach other employees at their clinic/workplace to perform DOT approved Breath Alcohol Tests. LifeLoc will certify the instructor as a certified basic operator Instructor on all LifeLoc products. Pre-requisite for class: One-(1) year experience conducting Breath Alcohol Testing.

Collection Technician
This four-(4) hour program prepares the student to conduct urine sample collections for DOT drug-testing. The DOT mandates that "collectors" must successfully complete this type of program including both didactic instruction and proficiency testing.

Collection Technician- Train-the-Trainer
This six-(6) hour class provides the tools and education needed for instructors to qualify their own employees as Drug-Screen Collection Technicians. Pre-requisite- One-(1) year experience performing DOT urine specimen collections.

Employee Training
BIO-MED provides comprehensive employee training programs for all types of employers. Our employee-training course is in compliance with the DOT training for safety-sensitive employees. Most all DOT training modes are available including Federal Transit Administration, FMCSA, FAA and others. For non-regulated employers, this educational program is highly recommended to make sure your employees understand your specific program and learn about the myths and misconceptions involved in drug testing.
